Bilingual optimization and adaptation for a museum exhibition

Content management

The challenge

The initial museum-wide renovation project faced a crisis of physical deterioration (walls, panels, whale skeleton) due to the climate. The situation forced an emergency phase: information and basic structure had to be saved (including roof replacement) before implementing interactive exhibits, while also incorporating English-language content into the same space, the absence of which limited the international tourism experience

Our solution

We led the project by prioritizing accessibility and respecting the museum’s existing design as much as possible. The new interactive tour was designed, and the emergency retrofit of the panels was executed (design, text optimization, and English translation), ensuring scientific accuracy in both versions. A new whale tail (3m x 1.75m) was constructed, repairing the museum’s main visual asset

.

The impact

This first emergency phase of the renovation project guaranteed that the museum maintained operations during peak season and secured international accessibility. The project demonstrated our ability to sustain a strategic vision (interactive exhibits) while managing and executing critical production tasks (panels, sculptural elements) under budget pressure.
